The Gucci Guilty fragrance collection is modern and fresh with a stylish twist. The best Gucci Guilty colognes for men share the same lavender, pink pepper, and patchouli DNA as the original scent yet inject their own personality.

The first fragrance in the men’s collection, Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette, was released in 2010. This bright, aromatic, woody cologne is incredibly easy to wear and will still get you compliments.

Several enticing Gucci Guilty flankers soon followed, with the latest release of Gucci Guilty Parfum Pour Homme (also reviewed here) hitting the shelves in 2022.

With zesty fruits and manly florals combined with attention-grabbing spices, the best Gucci Guilty colognes for men are confident and masculine. Here are 7 to consider.

Review

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme is the original Guilty fragrance launched in 2010. This bright, aromatic, woody cologne is easy to wear and still reels in the compliments.

An opening of zesty Italian lemon and spicy pink pepper leads to a floral heart of masculine lavender supported by bright orange blossom and neroli.

Upon dry-down, musky/earthy patchouli and smooth cedar add masculinity. Settles to a fresh lavender/lemon combo with a nice touch of wood and musk.

Top Notes:

Pink Pepper, Lemon

Mid Notes:

Orange Blossom, Neroli, Lavender

Base Notes:

Patchouli, Cedarwood

Seasons & Longevity

Perfect for spring and summer wear, Gucci Guilty Pour Homme also fares well on autumn days. I wear this classic scent to the office and any smart/casual situation.

The initial opening is intense and a little sharp. Still, it softens quickly, and the overall lifespan of the blend is around 4+ hours. Look no further if you want a stylish scent to make your days brighter.

Seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn
Longevity 4+ hours

Benefits & Drawbacks

ProsAn excellent all-rounder that still gets compliments
ConsQuite powerful at first so don’t overspray

2. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum

Review

With a little more heat than the original, Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum is the ideal cologne for date nights and events where you want to turn heads.

French rose and chilli pepper makes the opening of this scent floral, sweet yet tangy, and a real head-turner from the start and far different from the original.

Once the heart of lavender, orange blossom, and neroli bloom Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum starts to smell a little more like its predecessor.

The base of cedar and patchouli is classy, and a tangy balsamic edge remains. Settles to a feisty blend of rose, lavender and spice.

Top Notes:

French Rose, Chilli Pepper

Mid Notes:

Lavender, Orange Blossom, Neroli

Base Notes:

Cedarwood, Patchouli

Seasons & Longevity

Although this is an ideal autumn and winter scent on paper, I would wear Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum in any season. Leans more toward dressy evening wear.

This cologne has solid staying power, so expect a very decent 6+ hours of wear from each application with good projection and sillage.

All Seasons
Longevity 6+ hours

Benefits & Drawbacks

ProsClassy rose and lavender combo with a touch of spice
ConsNot super-masculine but a true crowd-pleaser

3. Gucci Guilty Parfum Pour Homme

Review

Launched in 2022, Gucci Guilty Parfum Pour Homme is a complex and herbal scent that has a moreish medicinal edge at times. This cologne turns heads everywhere you go.

Top notes of juniper, lemon, and lavender bring a sharp and medicinal opening that has unusually resinous edges. Heart notes of orange flower, nutmeg and Spanish labdanum soften the blend and render it almost unisex.

As soon as patchouli, dry wood, and musk bleed through, they firmly stamp traditional masculine edges to the dry-down. Settles to a compliment-inducing freshie of juniper, zesty lemon, musk and wood.

Top Notes:

Juniper, Lemon, Lavender

Mid Notes:

Orange Flower, Nutmeg, Spanish Cistus

Base Notes:

Patchouli, Dry Wood, Musk

Seasons & Longevity

Perfect all year round fragrance, this versatile daytime scent is great for running errands, shopping trips, lunches, and even office safe.

Expect 3+ hours of wear from each application with moderate sillage and projection. Sadly this is not as robust as I would like, so perhaps consider Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme as it’s similar and lasts longer.

All Seasons
Longevity 3+ hours

Benefits & Drawbacks

ProsVersatile daytime freshie with the Gucci Guilty DNA intact
ConsDoes not last as long as I would have liked

4. Gucci Guilty Love MMXXI Pour Homme Eau de Toilette

Review

Gucci Guilty Love MMXXI Pour Homme is a fresh floral/fruity scent with a zesty effervescent vibe. Created by perfumer legend Alberto Morillas in 2021, this mixes modern with traditional barbershop.

Lemon and pink pepper give this cologne a zesty yet warming opening that is vibrant and addictive. The Guilty DNA of orange blossom, lavender, and neroli are spiced with a touch of honey.

As this scent settles, it becomes rich, sweet, and herbal with underlying resinous and smoky edges from the base notes of cedar and patchouli. Classic Alberto Morillas.

Top Notes:

Lemon, Pink Pepper

Mid Notes:

Orange Blossom, Lavender, Honey, Neroli

Base Notes:

Patchouli, Cedar

Seasons & Longevity

Though versatile, this is ideally a warm-weather cologne; think spring and autumn afternoons and summer evenings. It would make a holiday fragrance or for daytime events such as weddings or garden parties.

The overall blend is relatively robust and should last 4+ hours with reasonable projection and sillage. Not a beast-mode clubbing fragrance, but no skin scent either.

Seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn
Longevity 4+ hours

Benefits & Drawbacks

ProsFeel-good freshie, yet rich, sweet, and slightly herbal
ConsMaybe too much of the herb note for some

5. Gucci Guilty Love Pour Homme Eau de Toilette

Review

Gucci Guilty Love Pour Homme is fruity, spicy, and floral and strays off of the beaten path that other Guilty fragrances in the collection tend to follow.

Spicey ginger, sour kumquat, sweet orange, and pink pepper make the opening incredibly juicy and almost edible in nature. Lavender, geranium, and rosemary give a feel-good summer garden feel.

Patchouli and benzoin add a hint of musk and resin to the dry-down but not much. Settles to a fruity sweet & sour scent with a touch of spice.

Top Notes:

Ginger, Kumquat, Mandarin Orange, Pink Pepper

Mid Notes:

Lavender, Geranium, Rosemary

Base Notes:

Patchouli, Benzoin

Seasons & Longevity

This is an ideal daytime cologne for spring and summer, maybe creeping into early fall. I will say that it smells like many other fragrances from brands such as Versace and Armani.

Expect around 4 hours of wear from one application, but the scent will become very gentle after just an hour or two. Works best during the heat of the day.

Seasons: Spring,Summer
Longevity 4+ hours

Benefits & Drawbacks

ProsA cheerful blend of lavender, geranium, and rosemary that’s perfect for summer
ConsDoes smell like a lot of other fragrances on the market

6. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Absolute Eau de Parfum

Review

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Absolute is one of the most traditionally masculine scents on this list, but it’s definitely not dull. Woody, aromatic, and leathery, this will turn heads.

Masculine leather explodes from Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Absolute from the first application. Patchouli and cypress bring a touch of musky, forest-fresh sweetness to the heart.

Woody notes start to seep through, giving it a resinous and fresh edge. Simple but highly effective leather fragrance and a solid release from Gucci. Similar to the fantastic Dark Lord by Kilian.

Top Notes:

Leather

Mid Notes:

Patchouli, Cypress

Base Notes:

Woody Notes, Vetiver

Seasons & Longevity

This cologne is ideal for winter and autumn nights when the cold air will really bring the notes to life. It’s very traditionally manly (in a good way) but don’t overspray.

With nuclear projection and great staying power of 6+ hours, Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Absolute will keep working into the early hours.

Seasons: Autums, Winter
Longevity 6+ hours

Benefits & Drawbacks

ProsA quality leather scent from Gucci that is done really well
ConsNot like any of the other GG scents so try before you buy

7. Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme Eau de Toilette

Review

Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme is an aromatic green male fragrance unlike anything else on the mass market. I like the freshness and how it develops as the hours pass.

A light and fresh opening of lavender and spicy coriander provide a feel-good vibe; this is deepened and sweetened by the heart notes of orange blossom, green notes, and neroli.

Smooth cedar and earthy patchouli hover in the background. Dries to a fresh, green, lavender scent with spicy coriander and wood.

Top Notes:

Lavender, Coriander

Mid Notes:

Orange Flower, Neroli

Base Notes:

Cedar, Patchouli

Seasons & Longevity

Technically best for spring and autumn, I would prefer to wear this on hot summer days when the freshness of the scent really pops!

Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme sticks around for longer than I expected for such a light/green scent. The overall scent will last at least 5+ hours, depending on the weather and how you apply it.

Seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn
Longevity 5+ hours

Benefits & Drawbacks

ProsThis aromatic green freshie will help you stand out from the crowd
ConsSmells quite niche so maybe not for everyone

Andrew’s Top Pick

best Gucci Guilty colognes

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum

My top pick is Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum because it performs really well. I love how the rose, lavender and spices blend with that tangy balsamic edge.

Conclusion

Although each fragrance in the Gucci Guilty cologne collection shares the same overall DNA as the original, each brings something new and unique. Most of the collection leans toward spring/summer, although Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Absolute is a totally different animal; packed with leather.

Gucci Guilty colognes are currently available in 50 and 100ml (1.7 and 3.0 oz) size bottles. I recommend you try each fragrance in-store (or order samples online) and decide which one you prefer.

1 thought on “7 Head-Turning Gucci Guilty Colognes For Men”

  1. I have tried a couple of Gucci Guilty fragrances, but didn’t like any of them. I thought Gucci wasn’t the brand for me, but I ended up with a bottle of Gucci Intense Oud by sheer luck and absolutely love it! I have also tried a Royal Santal from their high-end line and know that Gucci definitely know how to make fragrances.
I hope the Guilty line continues as it is popular and I’m sure they’ll release one I truly love.
