Although Agent Provocateur is a brand synonymous with daringly seductive underwear, their fragrances are equally as provocative. We have selected eight of the best Agent Provocateur perfumes to review that combine sensual florals with musks and spices to create an enticing twist.

Background Of Agent Provocateur

Joseph Corré (son of Vivienne Westwood) and wife Serena Rees opened the first Agent Provocateur store in London’s fashionable Soho back in 1994.

Producing sexy designer underwear that placed the woman firmly in charge, success was inevitable. In 2000 the brand released their first fragrance, Agent Provocateur Eau de Parfum, and have since produced over 20 sensual scents.

Marketing campaigns have included Kate Moss, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Beyoncé and most controversially Kylie Minogue riding a mechanical bull.

1. Miss AP Eau De Parfum

Agent Provocateur Miss AP Eau De Parfum

Review

Agent Provocateur Miss AP is a bold, sensual and seductive oriental floral perfume that is the discreet sister of Agent Provocateur L’Agent.

Opens with the heady, sweet, exotic floral scent of ylang-ylang combined with just a touch of pink pepper. The heart of this fragrance is an intoxicating floral blend of delicate rose and the almost fruity bourbon geranium.

Upon dry-down, the sexy musky aroma of patchouli compliments the sweetness of the ylang-ylang and bourbon geranium. Warming amber and deep sandalwood add both mystery and depth.

Miss AP Eau De Parfum lasted 5+ hours on skin (longer on clothing) with excellent sillage.

As for when to wear, its sensual base notes made me feel this is an autumn/winter/spring fragrance more suited to evening-wear. Perfect when out for a romantic dinner, dancing, or even a date.

Miss AP comes presented in a tall oval metallic pink bottle that looks very chic and sexy.

In summary, Agent Provocateur Miss AP a more discreet version of Agent Provocateur L’Agent. Perfect for evening-wear when you want to add a sense of sensual mystery.

Agent Provocateur L'Agent Eau De Parfum

Review

Agent Provocateur L’Agent Eau De Parfum is a dramatic oriental floral perfume with seductive and liberating warm spices, sensual musk, and heady incense. Dark, sexy and intoxicating.

The opening is instantly alluring with heady notes of ylang-ylang and rose entwined with pink pepper and a trail of enticing incense. The heart of this fragrance becomes slightly sweeter, with white florals of jasmine and tuberose that become musky as dry-down approaches.

The base is very dark, deep and enticing. The incense becomes increasingly dominant and blends with the aromatic woody scent of myrrh. Patchouli and amber also cast their intoxicating spell to complete the tension.

3. Fatale Pink Eau de Parfum

Agent Provocateur Fatale Pink Eau de Parfum

Review

Agent Provocateur Fatale Pink Eau de Parfum was launched back in 2014 and caused quite a stir; A very glamorous oriental floral perfume that is enticingly fresh, floral and naughtily sweet.

The opening is cleaner and fresher than I expected. Crisp tangerine and the grapefruit-like scent of yuzu are first to appear. I did not get much in the way of creamy notes initially.

Mids notes are floral; slightly powdery pink lotus flower and the sweeter lemon sherbet of camellia are striking.

This fragrance is beautiful and sensual on the dry down. The base is musky, yet lifted with the fresh greenness of bamboo; A slightly flirty fragrance but discreet enough to wear outside of your boudoir.

I was quite surprised by the longevity of Fatale Pink. Although its sillage is only moderate, its longevity of 7+ hours made up for it. Great value.

As for when to wear, Fatale Pink is crying out to be worn as a daytime spring/summer scent. One for long romantic daytime walks in the countryside or the coast.

Fatale Pink comes presented in a striking crystal cut style bottle with pretty stopper and a light pink glow.

In summary, Agent Provocateur Fatale Pink is a beautiful, fresh oriental floral feminine fragrance that is hugely underrated. Beautiful.

Top Notes:

4. Fatale Eau de Parfum

Agent Provocateur Fatale Eau De Parfum

Review

Brace yourself, Fatale Eau De Parfum is a very sexy and compliment inducing perfume indeed. This oriental floral fragrance boats not only delightful florals but tempting sweet fruits and chocolate too.

Opens with rich, fruity notes of blackcurrant and mango sprinkled with the spice of pink pepper.

Mid notes of sweet floral gardenia and the heady, intoxicating scent of patchouli make their way to the surface and complement the initial fruity/peppery notes.

Upon dry-down, warming musk, dark, dark chocolate and the sweet vanilla scent of the vanilla orchid bring the entire fragrance together. You must give Fatale at least 20 minuted to reveal itself fully, and for your patience, you are highly rewarded.

Fatale Eau De Parfum is not crazy long-lasting at 4+ hours although it has a relatively good sillage projection. Considering how sexy it is, you will not mind the extra spray required after a few hours to reignite.

With its sumptuous notes of chocolate, berries and floral vanilla, Fatale is almost tailor-made for the autumn/winter months. Perfectly capable as a daytime or nighttime scent, just be careful to what occasion you wear it. You have been warned!

Fatale is presented in a rather striking crystal cut style bottle with clear stopper and emits a light golden glow of the fragrance nestling inside.

In summary, Agent Provocateur Fatale Eau De Parfum is not merely sensual; it’s downright sexy.

Agent Provocateur Fatale Intense Eau de Parfum

Review

Fatale Intense Eau de Parfum is an oriental floral perfume with a twist. You know you are in for a wild ride when you read liquorice, chilli peppers and berries on the same sentence.

The opening is an eclectic combination of fruity dewberry, liquorice, and chilli pepper that are really attention-grabbing. This fragrance soon reveals its heart of florals. A bouquet of blooming lotus, champaca, and rose bring a lightness to the initial spice. The dry-down reveals a sophisticated, almost rebellious base of sumptuous leather, sweet vanilla and warming amber. Incredibly addictive.

Conclusion

We stumbled across the Agent Provocateur perfume range purely by chance late last year while researching for an underwear article in the Harrods lingerie department.

After sampling each fragrance on display, we were impressed by how seductive and sensual they were. Although we felt that the best Agent Provocateur perfumes were from the oriental floral family, they were all a little spicier than we imagined.

Some of these fragrances are no longer for sale in-store, so you may need to hunt online. We managed to get samples for each fairly easily and have included links in this article and hope you find it helpful.

Before you go, I have put together a review of the most elegant perfumes ranging from timeless classics to modern day sophistication that I think you will enjoy.
