With enticing florals and sumptuous fruits, the best Chloé perfumes are boldly feminine, yet have a delicate alter ego. Chloé has stayed surprisingly true to their original vision while remaining modern and edgy. By blending the affordable and the luxurious, the brand has earned a place at the dressing table of many.

Chloé: Fearless and Feminine Fragrances

Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, Chloé pioneered accessible fashion at a time when mixing ready-to-wear and luxury clothing was unheard of. With a youthful presence and keen eye for trends, Aghion quickly made waves in the fashion world.

Though Aghion never quite found the fame of other female fashion pioneers such as Coco Chanel, her determination to bring high fashion to the ready-to-wear market has had a lasting effect on the fashion industry.

The first Chloé fragrance was launched way back in 1975. Classically feminine and beautifully blended it quickly found fans across the world. Since then, Chloé has produced over 40 exciting fragrances.

10 Best Chloé Perfumes for Women

We have selected the 10 best Chloé perfumes that are quintessentially elegant and feminine. Each fragrance combines classic white floral notes with an unusual twist to keep them youthful, yet timeless.

1. Chloé Eau de Toilette

Chloé Eau de Toilette

Review

The iconic original Chloé Eau de Toilette launched in 2009 and quickly gained a cult following. This revised version is a little sweeter than the original, although still equally as beautiful.

Chloé Eau de Toilette makes use of a bouquet of white florals which are underpinned by white roses and enriched by lemon and bergamot. This makes the first application of this perfume incredibly sweet and powdery, but when the sillage fades, it blooms and reveals a musky undertone which is both sweet and warm.

Perfect for daytime wear in spring and fall when the chillier air will be kind to this delicate blend. With a moderate sillage and durable staying power of 5+ hours, this fragrance fades quickly but sticks around once it has settled. This makes it great for days when you need an unobtrusive scent to help you along.

Presented in the same bottle as the original 2009 version, this iteration of Chloé Eau de Toilette does have a few differences. The bottle is squat, but similarly ridged, but maintains the white ribbon around its neck. The effect is demure, classy, and undoubtedly feminine, just like the fragrance itself.

In summary, Chloé Eau de Toilette is a bright, fresh, yet creamy floral feminine fragrance that lifts your spirits.

Top Notes:

Bergamot, Lemon, Magnolia

Mid Notes:

Gardenia, Rose

Base Notes:

Cotton Flower, Musk

2. Chloé Eau de Parfum

Chloé Eau de Parfum

Review

An update of the original, Chloé Eau de Parfum departs from the traditional tuberose centred composition. Fresh and light, this is nonetheless a self-possessed and strong scent with sensual undertones.

Like its predecessor, this perfume relies heavily on floral notes. Opens with sweet lychee that adds a sense of maturity. This fragrance soon blooms into a bouquet of rose, peony and freesia and rose. A sensual base of warming amber and cedar adds sophistication and class.

As for when to wear, Chloé Eau de Parfum is a classic easy-to-wear fragrance that can be worn during any season and any time of day. With a heavy sillage, this is a long-lasting scent of 7+ hours which will see you through the day.

Presented in the same squat, ridged bottle as the eau de toilette, Chloé Eau de Parfum looks sleek and feminine, and will certainly pretty up any dressing table (though it’s not likely to stand out). The dusty pink ribbon which decorates the neck coordinates nicely with the colour of the perfume itself.

In summary, Chloé Eau de Parfum is a timeless white floral fragrance that can quickly become a beautiful signature scent. Almost vintage in its delivery.

3. Chloé Love Story Eau de Parfum

Chloé Love Story Eau de Parfum

Review

Blended by perfumer Anne Flipo and launched in 2014, Love Story is one of the most popular perfumes in the Chloé portfolio. Making use of the sweet, floral notes that the brand is famed for, Love Story nonetheless has a twist that makes it fresh and vibrant.

Chloé Love Story opens with touches of sharp grapefruit, lemon and bergamot that are subdued by the fruity sweetness of pear. Mid notes of rose, neroli and stephanotis and an enticing layer of florals. A rich base of musk, cedar, and patchouli make this a complex and sophisticated fragrance which blooms rather than fades.

The sillage of this fragrance is deceptively soft considering its fairly impressive staying power of 6+ hours, so don’t be alarmed if it seems unobtrusive; the scent lingers on clothes for far longer. Perfect for bright spring/summer days.

The traditional Chloé bottle was adapted a little for this fragrance. Slightly narrower than its counterparts with a half-moon topper and a delicate pink ribbon tied at the side. The result has a certain vintage appeal that looks lovely.

In summary, Chloé Love Story is a romantic, clean and fresh powdery floral fragrance that is oh-so-pretty.

Top Notes:

Neroli, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Pear

Mid Notes:

Orange Blossom, Stephanotis, Rose, Blackcurrant, Peach

Base Notes:

Musk, Cedar, Cashmirwood, Patchouli

4. Chloé Love Story Eau Sensuelle Eau de Parfum

Chloé Love Story Eau Sensuelle Eau de Parfum

Review

The third entry in the Love storyline, this perfume was launched in 2016 and is a much more sensual iteration of the original (which may not be surprising, given its name).

Opening with fruity notes of pear and lemon and delightful orange blossom. It soon mellows to reveal a floral heart sweet heliotrope and the sensual, earthy scent of passionflower. The dry down reveals a musky/woody base which warms and soothes in equal measure.

This complex blend lends itself well to autumnal evenings with its sensual florals and sumptuous base. Love Story Eau Sensuelle is a reasonably long-lasting fragrance that lasts about 4+ hours after application.

Held in the same bottle as both other Love Story versions, the darker tones of this perfume and its ribbon decoration give this a boudoir feel that will appeal to vintage lovers.

In summary, Chloé Love Story Eau Sensuelle is a romantic, dreamy white floral fragrance with light touches of fruits.

Top Notes:

Lemon, Yuzu, Pear, Orange Blossom

Mid Notes:

Passion Flower, Heliotrope

Base Notes:

Cedar, Amber, Musk, Sandalwood

5. Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum

Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum

Review

Blended by Quentin Bisch and launched in 2008, Nomade is a slightly unusual pillar fragrance for Chloé because of the prominence that woody notes hold in the mix of this Chypre Floral.

Chloé Nomade initially appears traditionally masculine as oakmoss is the star of the show. However, the oakmoss is offset by rose, peach, freesia, citrus fruits and juicy plum. The result is unusual but undeniably beautiful and feminine; it smells natural and wild, which fits well with its name and works well in spring and autumn.

The sillage is perfect, although longevity is 4+ hours so consider applying it to clothes and hair for best effect.

The presentation of this perfume is classic; the bottle is designed to mimic one of the houses most iconic handbags and is delicately complemented by the gold topper, pale pink ribbon detail. This is a bottle which invites you to touch and hold it.

In summary, Chloé Nomade is a chypre floral fragrance that is especially perfect for rainy afternoons to lift your mood.

Mirabelle, Bergamot, Lemon, Orange

6. Chloé Nomade Absolu de Parfum

Chloé Nomade Absolu de Parfum

Review

Sister fragrance to the highly popular ‘Nomade’, the most recent addition to the line priorities fruity/woody tones. The shorter list of notes does not detract from this modern, sophisticated, feminine fragrance.

Oakmoss once again plays a prominent role in this chypre fragrance, and the undertones of sandalwood and musk accentuate this. The intense woody fragrance is lifted by sweet and succulent plum, keeping this on the feminine side of unisex.

As for when to wear, Nomade Absolu de Parfum is perfect for cooler autumn evenings. With moderate sillage, this is surprisingly durable at 6+ hours and mellows beautifully.

Presented in the same, gently curving bottle, this version of Nomade is offset by a leather panel on its topper and a leather ‘ribbon’ detail mirror the slightly androgynous feel of this perfume as a whole.

In summary, Nomade Absolu de Parfum has a feminine sweetness, yet retains an earthy vibe. Very beautiful and utterly original.

Mirabelle Plum

Mid Notes:

Davana, Oakmoss

Sandalwood, Musk

7. Chloé L’Eau Eau de Toilette

Chloé L'Eau Eau de Toilette

Review

Launched in 2019 this is one of the newer fragrances in the line, but it mixes some of the old favourites that have made Chloé perfumes famous.

Damask rose, lychee and magnolia are all found in full-force in this perfume, balanced by oakmoss and cedar. The result is a delicate and fragrant perfume with a clean, woody base which has a touch of amber to add depth.

Chloé L’Eau Eau de Toilette is a solid all-rounder which can be worn through the day and evening in almost any season. However, the enormous sillage really is amplified in cold weather, so perhaps moderate application in winter. Expect a solid 4+ hours of wear from this scent.

Housed in the iconic Chloé glass bottle with an exaggerated pink bow, a shorter topper, and a pale pink tinge to the fragrance itself this is a cute and girlish addition to any dressing table.

Top Notes:

Rose, Grapefruit, Litchi

Mid Notes:

Magnolia, Damask Rose

Base Notes:

Oakmoss, Cedar, Amber, Musk

8. Chloé Fleur de Parfum Eau de Parfum

Chloé Fleur de Parfum Eau de Parfum

Review

Chloé Fleur de Parfum was part of the original Chloé Eau de Parfum line. Blended by Michel Almairac and Mylene Alran to evoke the essence of a flower in full bloom, the result is an incredible blend that contains just as many woody and fruity notes as floral ones.

The opening is crisp with citrus notes of grapefruit and bergamot muddles with fruity verbena. Rose soon becomes the star of the show and dances with blackcurrant and cherry blossom. Upon dry-down, soft rice, cedar and musk create a delightful base.

Technically a spring or summer daywear perfume, Chloé Fleur de Parfum is a scent that can really be worn at any time because different temperatures bring out contrasting aspects of the blend. Moderate sillage and reasonable staying power of 4+ hours.

Once again, presented in the classic Chloé bottle, this perfume has a pleasingly feminine vintage look that will complement some dressing tables but look pretty anywhere.

In summary, Chloé Fleur de Parfum is a stunningly beautiful rose focused fragrance that puts a spring in your step.

Top Notes:

Verbena, Bergamot, Grapefruit

Mid Notes:

Rose, Cherry Blossom, Blackcurrant, Peach

Base Notes:

Rice, Cedar, White Musk

9. Chloé Magnolia Alba Eau de Parfum

Chloé Magnolia Alba Eau de Parfum

Review

A specialised and refined scent mixed by Louise Turner, Magnolia Alba features magnolia most prominently (which is probably not surprising).

Incredibly simple, but refreshing this perfume opens with light citric notes to elevate the overwhelmingly floral first scent of this perfume. Magnolia Alba blooms into the sweet, lemony, intoxicating scent of magnolia. A light musky base completed the experience.

The sillage is moderate, but this perfume itself doesn’t last as long as many others in the Chloé line so be prepared to reapply. Longevity was only 2+ hours. Wear on spring and summer days when the heat of the day will let this delicate scent bloom and be its best self.

In a tall, ribbed bottle, Magnolia Alba both fits and breaks the traditional Chloé style. The white topper has just a whisper of pink to it, as does the label, and the pearly sheen adds a hint of luxury to this already elegant perfume. The slightly avant-garde nature of the scent it holds does make the bottle seem a little ill-fitting, however.

In summary, Magnolia Alba is a white floral treat that is tailor-made for those warming days of spring and summer.

Top Notes:

Citrus notes

Mid Notes:

Magnolia

Base Notes:

White musk

10. Chloé Rosa Damascena Eau de Parfum

Chloé Rosa Damascena Eau de Parfum

Review

Another entry in the Atelier Des Fleurs range, Rosa Damascena was blended by Amandine Clerc-Marie and launched in 2019.

With the scent of rose at its heart, this is reminiscent of the iconic 90s perfume Chloé Narcisse, though it is a little fresher, it has a touch more depth thanks to the slight hint of sharp citrus that is particularly noticeable in the sillage.

Perfect for wearing on spring days, Rosa Damascena blooms in temperate climates and will last a little longer than the soft sillage suggests. Just be sure to apply this to your hair and clothes if you want it to last all day.

Presented in the same tall, ridged bottle as Magnolia Absolu, Rosa Damascena does, in fact, feel a little more at home in this bottle. This is perhaps because of its traditional scent; the blend of roses does feel very vintage, and so the retro bottle perfectly complements that. Place next to an over-sized powder-puff for Hollywood Starlette glamour!

In summary, Rosa Damascena is a fresh and flirty rose fragrance that will keep you coming back for more.

Top Notes:

Turkish rose, Citrus notes

Mid Notes:

Bulgarian rose, Damascus rose

Base Notes:

Amber
