12 Boozy Fragrances For Men Reviewed
The best boozy fragrances for men smell luxurious, provocative and make a real impact. Here are 12 booze-soaked fragrances to consider.
1. Bentley for Men Intense Eau de Parfum
Review
Released in 2013, Bentley for Men Intense Eau de Parfum is an oriental spicy masculine fragrance that emits a confident, high-class persona. The perfumer behind this classy male fragrance is Nathalie Lorson.
This fragrance opens with pepper-coated bergamot encased in a cloud of smokey incense. A heart of African geranium brings a green/earthy floral vibe, with subtle herbs that lead to a boozy explosion of rum.
Upon dry-down, luxurious leather, rich woods and resin are soon revealed, and work incredibly well with the rum and smoke.
Most certainly an autumn/winter fragrance that leans more towards late afternoon and evening wear. Personally, I feel it smells very dressy, so ideal for fancy meals out, date night, theatre, even posh bars and clubs. This is not a fragrance for the office.
Performance in cold weather is excellent. You can expect 6+ hours with decent sillage and projection before things begin to fade.
As you would expect from Bentley, the presentation is top-notch. The thick-glass bottle is weighty and finished with the Bentley logo engraved on silver shoulders. The matching silver cap feels expensive.
Overall, Bentley for Men Intense is a smokey combination of booze, wood, and leather that is mysterious, dark and moody. Far better than I expected.

2. Bvlgari Man In Black Eau de Parfum
Review
Bvlgari Man in Black Eau de Parfum is a crowd-pleasing rum-soaked combination of spice, tobacco and wood. It was launched in 2010, and the nose behind this incredible male fragrance is Alberto Morillas.
This fragrance gets straight to business, opening with fabulous notes of tobacco, dark rum and spices in equal measure. A heart of luxurious leather is lifted by iris and tuberose that steer away from traditionally male notes.
Upon dry-down, tonka bean, benzoin, and Guaiac wood, pile on the luxury with a discreet hint of medicinal. The rum note really shines.
As you can imagine, such a profound note combination is more for autumn/winter use. However, chilly spring evening is still fair game. This elegant fragrance is one for the evening.
This is a very long-lasting fragrance, Bvlgari Man in Black will give you 6+ hours of wear with decent sillage and projection. Not a beast-mode room filler but will undoubtedly get you compliments.
Presentation from Bvlgari is always excellent. The body and topper of this bottle are both in uniform matt black. The gold logo and cap finish things off nicely.
Overall, Bvlgari Man in Black is an elegant and expensive smelling men’s fragrance that is warm, spicy and boozy. If you can find it at a discount, it’s pretty much a blind buy.

3. Aramis Special Blend Eau de Parfum
Review
Launched in 2019, Aramis Special Bend Eau de Parfum is a luxurious cocktail of booze, woody and musk. It is ultra-extravagant and smells far more expensive than its low price tag. Dare I say Clive Christian in its delivery?
Aramis Special Bend opens with earthy/floral clary sage mixed with crisp bergamot and spiced cinnamon. A boozy heart of whiskey mingles with spicy cypriol to add masculine depth and a splash of mystery.
Upon dry-down, a base of rich, spicy, slightly fruity cashmeran becomes the star of the show, supported by fresh cedar and warm amber close behind producing a rather luxurious finish. Tonka bean is listed, but I could not get a hint of any.
This is a glamorous autumn/winter evening fragrance that is well suited for date night, evening meals, theatre, fancy bars. Not a full-on clubbing fragrance, it’s more refined.
Performance is pretty good, although sillage and projection are not enormous, yet longevity is a more than reasonable 5+ hours.
Presented in a classy straight-lined bottle with gold cap and matching gold label. Not the highest quality bottle up close.
Overall, Aramis Special Bend is a boozy masculine fragrance with notes that are very well blended. Mature and incredibly stylish, it receives compliments from both guys and girls.

4. Maison Martin Margiela REPLICA Jazz Club Eau de Toilette
Review
Jazz Club Eau de Toilette was released by Maison Martin Margiela back in 2013 and is part of the replica collection, this beauty is said to emulate ‘heady cocktails and cigars’. Alienor Massenet is the perfumer who created this manly tobacco and rum masterpiece.
This fragrance opens with pepper-coated lemon and neroli, but the initial zestiness is thankfully short-lived. A crowd-pleasing boozy heart of aged rum soon takes centre-stage, with only the merest hint of sage and vetiver for support.
Upon dry-down, sweet vanilla is beautifully balanced by spicy-rich styrax and lush tobacco leaf. The overall effect once settled is an incredible booze-soaked combination of vanilla, tobacco and resin.
No doubt about it, Jazz Club is an autumn/winter evening fragrance. Its another dressy masculine scent, so perfect for late nights out when you don’t have to get up early in the morning so the night is totally yours.
The cold weather performance of Jazz Club was far better than I expected, as some reviews. 6+ hours is no problem with good sillage and projection.
The presentation of Jazz Club is quite unusual and its clean-lined glass bottle and typed label looks like something born out of the Victorian era.
Overall, Jazz Club is, in my humble opinion, a boozier version of the classic Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille but with a cheeky sweetness that fades in and out. It is deep, rich, warm, and peppery.

5. Carolina Herrera CH Men Prive Eau de Toilette
Review
CH Men Prive Eau de Toilette is a masculine boozy leather fragrance with vanilla and spice. Launched in 2015, this luxurious and rich scent smells expensive, yet can be picked up at online discount stores at a great price.
CH Men Prive opens boldly with sharp grapefruit and a contrasting sweet and woody whiskey note with fruity hints. A heart of cheerful lavender is spiced with cardamom and sage for added bite.
Upon dry-down, the leather note fully reveals itself and is heavily supported by sweet tonka bean, wood and resin. Settles to a booze coated trio of leather, tonka bean and cardamom.
As with most boozy fragrances, CH Men Prive is more suited to cold season wear. Its boozy/leather richness suggested to me that this is more of an evening time. It’s classy and elegant yet easy-going, so it can be worn for both formal and casual occasions.
Performance is pretty good. You can easily achieve 6+ hours with noticeable projection and sillage, but I found you do need to spray a little extra to get this.
This fragrance is presented in a hip-flask style bottle with clear glass lower and back upper sections. Finished with a shiny black cap and gold CHHC lettering.
Overall, CH Men Prive is a confident and sexy cold weather fragrance that dries down to a booze-soaked duo of leather and vanilla. Not super long-lasting, so an extra couple of sprays is needed to ensure decent performance.

6. Kilian Black Phantom Eau de Parfum
Review
I have always found Kilian as a bit off-the-wall, and really love them for it. Black Phantom Eau de Parfum is no exception, with a yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum mixed with deadly cyanide accord (thankfully almond and heliotrope). You are about to embark on a trip to the high seas.
The opening is almost gourmand, with lush almond infused chocolate doused in vintage rum. Heart notes are dark and sweet, with rich coffee and caramel duelling for your attention.
The dry-down is initially woody, but striking notes of heliotrope and patchouli really butt heads. There is also a hint of musky animal/civet although it’s not listed.
Black Phantom can be worn day or night during autumn/winter and even chilly spring evenings is fair game. Admittedly it is more of a smart/casual evening fragrance, but considering its ‘out-there’ profile, just wear it with confidence at any time of day or night.
This is a monster of a performer. Longevity is 8+ hours with good sillage and projection. Although this is a reasonably pricey fragrance, it lasts incredibly well and only needs a couple of sprays.
The bottle is nicely presented in clear glass with a jet black body and striking gold metallic label. The gold cap is finished with an embossed K to add a touch of flair.
Overall, Black Phantom is a rum-soaked explosion of dark chocolate and coffee, fantastic! However, I don’t think any Kilian fragrance is a safe blind buy as they are downright CRAZY, but get yourself some samples or go in-store. You will be so glad you did.

7. Nasomatto Baraonda Eau de Parfum
Review
Baraonda Eau de Parfum is an oriental woody fragrance that is smokey, musky and boozy with a hint of rose. Released in 2016, Italian perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri is renowned for his decadent niche fragrances.
This fragrance opens with an intoxicating blend of smokey/sweet whiskey that really grabs your attention from the start. Mid notes of rose and ambrette create a musky/floral heart darkened by the boozy opening.
The dry-down unleashes more dominant woody notes fused with the sweet tobacco-twang of ambroxan.
What I love about this fragrance is the rose note. Although it’s dark and coated in booze and smoke, it enables this scent to be worn during any season.
Baraonda is more for evening wear, but you could get away with daytime wear on really chilly days. Not work safe, unless of course, you work in a bar!
This scent is a strong performer and will last 8+ hours with near beast-mode sillage and projection for the first half.
Presentation-wise, this is undoubtedly one of the most unusual bottles I have come across. It has a top-heavy cap made from wood/cork that sits on a silver neck. The straight-lined glass bottle is discreet and unassuming. Looks great.
Overall, Baraonda is an unusual take on a boozy fragrance, and I love the way the musky/smokey rose dives in and out of the whiskey note. This is one of those fragrances that attracts attention everywhere it goes.

8. Booze and Baccy by Ricki Hall Eau de Parfum
Review
If you relate to anything in this description, then this fragrance is a must-have. Booze and Baccy Eau De Parfum is a collaboration between Captain Fawcett and ‘ladies-man, mans-man, man-about-town’, Mr Ricki Hall.
The opening of Booze and Baccy is (ahem..) boozy. Bitter bay rum leading the charge and sweet orange close behind. A manly heart of galbanum, thyme and coriander add depth but never overpower.
The dry-down is a tobacco and smokey frankincense combo that gives a real smokey pub-vibe (before we all had to stand outside shivering).
Booze and Baccy is an autumn/winter/spring fragrance that leans more towards afternoon and evening wear. Just the type of scent to wear when you pop to the shops in the afternoon… just in case you end up ‘out-out’.
Performance is pretty good. I managed 4+ hours with decent projection from 4 sprays. Apply to clothing to boost performance, just watch out for staining.
The curved-edged bottle looks straight out of the seventies. The fragrance inside emits the colour of bakelite and is completed with a gold cap.
Overall, Booze and Baccy Eau De Parfum does ‘exactly what it says on the tin’ and is pretty much a boozy bind-buy. It’s unapologetically boozy and manly yet managed to pull off a tough guy image with a streak of gentleman thrown in.
Bodie and Doyle would totally wear this, probably whilst driving their Ford Capri into unnecessarily stacked empty cardboard boxes down some dodgy London backstreet.

9. Paco Rabanne Invictus Intense Eau de Toilette
Review
Invictus Intense Eau de Toilette from Paco Rabanne is a spicy/sweet amber fragrance with a generous helping of booze and a twist of salt. Released in 2016, this ‘intense’ version is far darker than the rest of the Invictus range.
This fragrance opens with bright orange blossom liberally spiced with cracked black pepper. Malt accord provides the boozy whisky note in the heart of this fragrance, cardamom and bay leaf add some sensual spice.
Upon dry-down, spicy-sweet amber becomes dominant and supported by musky/salty animalic ambergris. Settles into a spicy-sweet amber and ambergris booze-athon.
I would wear this during any season except the hottest days of summer as it’s just a little too sweet for hot daywear. Very versatile so can be worn for casual days or formal evenings, and everything in-between.
Performance of Invictus Intense is excellent and provides outstanding value. You can expect 7+ hours of wear with strong/projection and sillage.
Presentation is eye-catching with its trophy-shaped bottle, plus the spray mechanism works really well. It’s a tad youthful looking for my personal taste, plus my teenage Son keeps stealing it! However the juice inside is refined and classy, just hide the bottle from anyone under 21.
Overall, Invictus Intense is a sweet and spicy amber booze-fest. This is a well-balanced compliment-generating machine that lasts incredibly well for an EDT. Good job, Paco Rabanne.

10. Amouage Overture Man Eau de Parfum
Review
Amouage Overture Man Eau de Parfum is a warm and spicy woody fragrance with a boozy cognac note that holds the whole scent together. Created by perfumer genius Karine Vinchon, this fragrance was released in 2019.
This fragrance opens with boozy cognac supported by spicy cardamom, cumin and a hint of citrus zest. A resinous heart of myrrh and benzoin is further warmed by spicy-sweet cinnamon.
The dry-down unleashes smokey wood and leather that soak up and amplify the myrrh and booze that oozes confidence.
Overture Man will become your fragrance of choice for autumn/winter evening wear. It is extremely classy, so when you are dressed up and ready to impress, this will be the icing on the cake.
Performance is 8+ hours minimum with excellent sillage and projection for that duration. Can still be noticed as a skin scent the next day.
The fragrance is presented in a frosted-glass bottle, central gold badge and magnetic bronze cap with a pearlescent Swarovski crystal. It feels good in your hand, and the spray mechanism is very fancy, indeed.
Overall, Overture Man is perhaps one of the most decadent and charismatic male fragrances I have experienced in a long time. You can just smell the quality and depth of the notes. Yes, it’s expensive, but it projects for twice as long as most other fragrances.
Top Notes:
Grapefruit, Cardamom, Cumin, Ginger, Nutmeg, Saffron & Cognac accord

11. Tom Daxon VSOP Eau de Parfum
Review
VSOP Eau de Parfum from Tom Daxon is an aromatic woody fragrance with a boozy twist. Released in 2013, VSOP has become one of the most popular Tom Daxon fragrances.
The opening is incredible, with a bitter-sweet, slightly burnt, note of boozy cognac supported by crisp bergamot and earthy-green geranium. A heart of cracked black pepper, cinnamon add Elemi resin add depth.
Upon dry-down, a sensual base of vetiver is most prominent. This is soon joined by a discreet combination of sandalwood, cashmeran, and musk.
This is a classy autumn/winter fragrance. It is quite dressy so leans more towards evening wear when you are perhaps going somewhere more formal.
I received a few compliments when I had VSOP on, but it does not last too long, so not ideal for lengthy evening events unless you can top-up.
The straight-lined glass bottle is decorated with a navy blue cap and white label. Presentation is understated, although the navy-blue outer box is really classy.
The initial sillage and projection are excellent. However, longevity is only 3+ hours. It is worth taking a small bottle with you when out-and-about for a cheeky top-up.
Overall, VSOP is a sensual unisex fragrance with a complex palette and sparkling finish. My favorite Tom Daxon fragrance.

12. Roja Enigma Pour Homme Parfum Cologne
Review
Roja Enigma Pour Homme Parfum Cologne is a suave and sophisticated combination of booze, smoke and spice. Released in 2019, this fragrance was created by the perfume master himself, Roja Dove.
The opening is a contrast of sparkling zesty bergamot and booze that’s almost rum & coke-like. A heart of heliotrope and sweet jasmine adds some welcome floral brightness. Upon dry-down, booze-laced vanilla, resin and tobacco cast their crowd-pleasing magic spell to stamp the authority of this classy fragrance.
The light floral notes in this boozy scent really open up the wearable range. I would go as far as to say this is an any-season fragrance. Leans more towards evening wear, perhaps from late afternoon onwards when you are dressed up and ready to impress.
Enigma Pour Homme has excellent longevity at 8+ hours on skin and longer on clothing. Sillage and projection are both strong.
Presented in the classic Roja clean-lined bottle with gold lettering and warm amber colour. The decadent gold cap completes the look.
Overall, Enigma Pour Homme is a boozy resin and vanilla scent with a smokey vibe. It oozes masculine class and is perfect for any season wear. I feel it would make a great signature scent.

Which Boozy Men’s Fragrance Smells The Best?
The best smelling boozy fragrance for men has to be Amouage Overture. It opens with boozy cognac, cardamom, cumin and a hint of citrus. Myrrh, benzoin and cinnamon provide depth. Dry-down unleashes smokey wood and leather that soak up and amplify the booze. Longevity is 8+ hours.
Conclusion
Rather than merely drenching you in your favourite spirit, the best boozy fragrances for men use rum, brandy, cognac, or whiskey to create a crowd-pleasing manly scent with added va-va-voom.
You don’t even need to break the bank to enjoy a high-quality boozy fragrance. Invictus Intense from Paco Rabanne is brilliant value considering its performance. However, if you want to take it to another level, Amouage Overture is utterly irresistible and worth every penny.
