The aromatic vanilla/woody Boss Alive Eau de Parfum balances vanilla, fruit and wood. Without a doubt, this 2020 scent is one of my all-time Boss favourites.
Cinnamon-dusted vanilla, plum, apple, and blackcurrant create a delightful opening. Jasmine and thyme soon enhance the sweet tone of the fragrance with a touch of herbaceous sharpness.
Upon dry-down, sandalwood and cedar provide comforting warmth but never dominate. Settles to a rich and complex blend of vanilla, woods, spices, and fruits.
I wear this fragrance for sunny autumn, winter and springtime days; Boss Alive Eau de Parfum is an informal occasion scent with much to offer.
Performance is excellent, providing decent projection/sillage and longevity for up to 6 hours.
A daytime version of Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau de Parfum (I own full bottles of both!).

Sadly this fragrance only lasted 3 hours on my skin with discreet sillage and projection.

The journey begins with a sweet, honeyed peach note that is almost edible. The opening is quickly tempered by the coffee note, blending in a rich and distinctive roasted coffee bean scent.
The base of vanilla and vetiver complete the fragrance, wrapping all notes to a soft, velvety creaminess with earthy spice. This slightly unusual, contemporary composition settles to a gourmet vanilla coffee scent topped with fruits.

The 2021 release of Boss Alive Eau de Toilette caught me by surprise as it’s almost masculine at first and nothing at all like the EDP sister version.
This fragrance literally explodes with citruses on the opening. Lemon and juicy mandarin notes are joined by lemony magnolia and crisp apple.
Jasmine and soft rose in the heart never really get going, plus there is only a whisper of clary sage. In the base, cedar and sandalwood add a touch of smoothness.
Lasting 5+ hours, with reasonable sillage, Boss Alive is an easy-going springtime fragrance. It is best worn during spring and early summer days.
If you were hoping for a lighter version of the stunning Alive Eau de Parfum, you would be disappointed.
