Launched in 2015, Red Truffle 21 is an Aromatic Spicy fragrance of truffle and fig. This scent was created by Jo Malone to celebrate 21 years since the opening of Jo’s first fragrance store.

Red Truffle 21 opens with delicious green fig leaf paired with bitter citrus. The middle notes of pine as a fresh forest vibe that really brightens the entire fragrance. Upon dry-down, the earthy/musky scent of truffle is lifted by crisp juniper.

This fragrance is fairly versatile and can be worn day or night, though I’d say it just leans slightly more towards daytime wear. It also can be worn all year round, especially in autumn and summer.

Although sillage and projection are only moderate, longevity is a very reasonable 5+ hours, which cements its place as an excellent all-round fragrance.

Smoked Plum & Leather is a decadent unisex fragrance by Jo Loves that both women and men will equally enjoy. It was first launched in 2016, inspired by horse riding in Montana.

The opening notes of plum and smokey incense are jaw-dropping right from the start. A boozy heart of liquor is nicely spiced by cinnamon. Dry-down produces a glamorous leather note enriched with cedar. It really lives up to its name.

Smoked Plum & Leather is more suited for eveningwear during the colder months of autumn/winter. The warmth of the smoked plum, leather, liquor and cinnamon are cosy and comforting.

Review

Green Orange & Coriander is a citrus-aromatic scent that was launched n 2011 by Jo Loves. It’s a warm and soulful fragrance inspired by memories of lazy days in New York with a Sunday brunch, cashmere sweater, smooth red wine and a crackling log fire. Delightful!

This fragrance opens with zesty-citrus notes of bitter orange thoroughly sprinkled with black pepper. It dried down into a herb-like base of coriander seed, yet remains citrusy and fresh.

It’s a great daytime fragrance, and works well in all but the coldest winter months – it’s just a little short of warmth for late autumn/fall and winter.

Longevity is 3-4 hours before becoming a skin scent. I found applying a body lotion first does make your fragrances last longer, especially in summer. Sillage and projection are moderate.
