I will go out on a limb here and say this is one of those fragrances you either adore or loathe. I love it and am on my second 50ml bottle!
There is no doubt about it, this is an evening/late night fragrance when you will be out late. The exotic base notes, particularly the truffle, patchouli, and incense all scream autumn/winter.
This is one very, very long-lasting fragrance. 6+ hours later, and I still did not need to re-apply. Sillage and projection are excellent.
The bottle carves a stunning dark figure with ridged edges and bold gold-plated accents.

Released in 2020, Black Orchid Parfum builds further upon the classic EDP version (above) and is exceptionally high on the compliment scale. This is a surprisingly rich, smooth and uplifting fragrance with a decadent persona.
This fragrance opens with an energetic punch of attention-seeking musky truffle and delicious rich plum. A heart of exotic black orchid and heady ylang-ylang begin to bloom through a river of boozy rum notes. Upon dry-down, the spiced muskiness of patchouli rises to the surface.
Black Orchid Parfum is a formal autumn/winter fragrance that feels particularly well-suited for eveningwear. This is a fragrance worth getting dressed up for.
This is an incredibly long-lasting fragrance of 8+ hours on the skin, and even longer on clothing. Sillage and projection are enormous.
As for presentation, the bottle shares the same striking design as the original Black Orchid Eau de Parfum. This edition is presented in glistening gold. Extremely eye-catching.

Sole Di Positano Acqua Eau de Toilette is the 2019 release of a fragrance inspired by the beautiful cliff-side Italian village of Positano. Imagine bottling the scent of a trip to the Italian coast on a perfect summers day with its narrow streets teeming with boutiques and cafes.
You are first hit by a crescendo of crisp citrus notes. Italian petitgrain, lemon leaf and mandarin orange all intertwine with floral mid notes of orange blossom, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and shiso leaf. A light base of moss and musk with a touch of wood keeps this fragrance light and delicate.
As with most vibrant citrus/floral fragrances, Sole Di Positano Acqua is purpose-made for the spring and summer months. Leans more towards daytime summer wear. I would choose something with a slightly more musky base for the evening.
This is a medium-lasting fragrance due to being mostly citrus and floral that keeps things light. I found myself re-applying after 3+ hours; however, it is a pleasure to do so. Gave me a real summer feeling.
Love the bottle with its clean lines and squat design. The green hue really sets the tone of the fragrance lurking inside, poised to remind you of what summer smells like.
Sole Di Positano Acqua Eau de Toilette is a fragrance clearly depicting a summers day in Italy, bursting with citrus and floral notes. Wonderful.

Released in 2020, Bitter Peach Eau de Parfum is a revelation. This fragrance takes peach to another level by adding vibrant patchouli, blood orange and bathing it on booze-soaked woods.
The top notes of peach, blood orange and cardamom create an immediate impact due to sweet vs bitter. A heart of davana adds an oriental vibe, with boozy notes starting to take shape. Upon dry-down, intoxicating patchouli and sensual woody notes add a sense of mystery.
The peach and blood orange entwined with patchouli is ideal for autumn and winter, and creeping into spring. More suited for the day.
This is a long-lasting fragrance thanks to the dynamic and impacting mid and base notes. I found myself re-applying after 6+ hours, but even then, this fragrance was still active.
American designer Tom Ford does it again with this triumph of a fragrance. His fragrances are always daring and bold, with a thirst to break boundaries.
The bottle has crisp and clean lines and a squat/square design. The gloss peach coloured really sets the tone of the fragrances intention to waft you off to somewhere unusual.
Overall, Bitter Peach Eau de Parfum is initially quite peach focused, yet over time reveals a darker, more mysterious side that needs to be experienced. Truly an amazing scent.

Velvet Orchid Eau de Parfum is an oriental floral fragrance that builds on the iconic Black Orchid’s seductiveness. Make-way for an ultra-feminine scent that envelopes you with notes of cool citrus, floral, honey and rum.
Tops notes of bergamot, mandarin, rum and honey strike first, closely followed by a symphony of florals. Feminine orchid, orange blossom, rose absolute, narcissus, hyacinth and heliotrope are all key players. A warming rich base of myrrh, labdanum, sandalwood, suede and vanilla ensure a seductive fragrance.
I felt this leans towards being an autumn/winter fragrance mainly due to base of myrrh, suede, sandalwood. Equally suited for day or night as the citrus top and floral mids lighten the base to bring this scent nicely into the daylight.
This is a long-lasting oriental fragrance, particularly the vanilla, sandalwood and not forgetting the orchid. I find Velvet Orchid Eau de Parfum runs out of steam after 6+ hours. Sillage and projection are excellent.
Velvet Orchid is presented in a feminine purple bottle with delicate horizontal ridges and bold gold-coloured accents.
Oriental by design, this smooth, warm and sensuous feminine fragrance projects a sense sophistication like a welcoming homing beacon.

Soleil Neige Eau de Parfum (French for sun & snow) was released in 2019. This is a radiant and refreshing fragrance that momics the serene shimmering effect that the sun has on snow in winter-time. So, ready yourself for a delightful combination of cool white florals and warm resin notes.
Opening notes include the refreshing citrus of bergamot and slightly sweet yet earthy carrot seed. Continuing the freshness, we journey into a bouquet of lush white floral notes including jasmine, orange blossom and rose. This fragrance gently draws you into a warming base of vanilla and benzoin.
Although any fragrance mimicking snow could make you feel this fragrance is more autumn/winter, the warming resin and vanilla produce a great all-round scent. I feel Soleil Neige is more of a daytime scent that can be worn in any season.
A relatively long-lasting fragrance. You can expect 4+ hours of longevity with decent sillage and projection. In particular, the white florals, vanilla & benzoin last well.
The bottle has crisp and clean lines and a squat/square design. The white bottle really sets the tone of the crispness. I would have liked to have seen the text of ‘Soleil’ in a warming yellow/orange as a nod to its warming effect. Perhaps in another bottle edition!
Overall, Soleil Neige Eau de Parfum is an effortlessly fresh and slightly sweet feminine fragrance with a warming base. Sways between being oriental and floral. This is a highly addictive scent that is a worthy addition to your collection.

8. Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum

Released in 2018, Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum is an indulgent journey into the world of temptation and forbidden fruit. Using contrasting notes of sweet, floral, bitter, and woody creates an intoxicating masterpiece of a fragrance.
This fragrance opens with a welcoming wave of multi-faceted cherry. Both black cherry and boozy cherry liqueur are present in equal measures, plus bitter almond also surfaces to add a sense of depth.
Mild powdery floral notes of rose and jasmine from the heart are soon coated with cherry syrup. Base notes of tonka/vanilla are most prominent. Sandalwood, vetiver and cedar complete the effect and add a somewhat mysterious spice/woody aspect to the scent.
Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum is a sublime fragrance for autumn/winter that is equally suited for day or night. The voluptuous dual cherry and vanilla notes give this fragrance a sensual, decadent feeling.
A medium-lasting fragrance. I found the cherry notes faded after 3-4 hours. The base remained for far longer, but you may find yourself re-applying to top up the delightful cherry.
The bottle has crisp and clean lines and a squat/square design. Cherry Red, of course, being the natural colour choice for this fragrance.
Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum is a deep and sensual feminine fragrance. Give it 5 – 10 minutes to settle and experience this fragrance becomes more than the sum of its parts.

9. Mandarino Di Amalfi Eau de Parfum
Review
Mandarino Di Amalfi Eau de Parfum transports you to the calm yet dramatic serenity of Italy’s southwest Amalfi coastline. Encompassing the scent of crisp citrus fruits that fill the air in the afternoon, and a warm breeze of the evenings night-blooming flowers.
This fragrance has a zesty opening of grapefruit and lemon fuses nicely with blackberry, basil, mint and fresh tarragon. A floral heart of orange blossom and jasmine are sprinkled with pepper, coriander and sage. Upon dry-down, sweet labdanum mingles with vetiver, amber and musk.
Mandarino Di Amalfi is another of Tom Fords distinctively fresh Italian inspired fragrances. I felt this is an ideal daytime spring and summer fragrance for strolling along the coastline on a glorious day. I would recommend something with a slightly more distinctive woody/musky base for the evening.
Although I found myself re-applying after 3+ hours, this is perfectly acceptable for such a bright daytime spring/summer fragrance. Sillage and projection are both moderate.
Presented in a striking bottle with clean lines and squat design. The clear blue hue of the bottle perfectly depicts the blue skies of an Italian summer.
Overall, Mandarino Di Amalfi is an elegant warm-weather fragrance depicting a summers day in Italy. It is brimming with both citrus & floral notes infused in wild herbs. If you have never been to the Amalfi coast, I thoroughly recommend it. The nearby island of Capri is my absolute favourite.

10. Métallique Eau de Parfum
Review
Upfront aldehydes steal the show with Tom Fords Métallique Eau de Parfum. Think zing with a capital Z for a fragrance that is somewhat Chanel No5 or No22 esque.
This fragrance aims to give a pulsating flash of empowered modern femininity and most likely, the scent of choice of Princess Leia. Both classic and ultra-modern at the same time.
An initial zing of sparkling Aldehydes entwined with bergamot supplying the citrus. Pink pepper is clearly present. Floral centric mid notes of Hawthorn, Lily-of-the-valley, Heliotrope work so well with the Aldehydes and citrus.
Musky/woods base notes of musky ambrette, balsam, vanilla and sandalwood hold-up this fragrance nicely. The vanilla note becomes more noticeable after an hour.
Métallique is an autumn/winter fragrance that is equally suitable for day or night. When layered with Sole Di Positano Acqua, the additional burst of ylang-ylang and jasmine can create a delightful all year round fragrance.
This is a reasonably long-lasting fragrance as its well-balanced with citrus, florals, aldehyde and musk. I found this fragrance needed re-application after 4+ hours to give it a boost. Sillage and projection are good.
The bottle design is a striking metallic with clean and crisp lines. The silver bottle is finished with a gold-coloured metallic label & cap. Reminds me of a rather decadent oversized bottle of nail varnish!
Overall, Métallique Eau de Parfum is a sparkling and sophisticated citrus & floral fronted autumn/winter fragrance. It becomes more vanilla and musky as it dries down.

11. Lavender Extrême Eau de Parfum
Review
Lavender Extrême Eau de Parfum is a nuclear explosion of lavender fused with tonka bean that is perfect for lavender lovers everywhere. This is lavender cranked up to volume level 11, so be ready.
The opening notes of zesty lemon and powdery violet soon met by the intensely floral heart of lavender. Rose and cinnamon also make a fleeting appearance but are swiftly overpowered. The tonka bean base does hold up nicely once the fragrance dries down, and adds balance to this otherwise lavender focused fragrance.
As for when to wear, although a lavender focused floral fragrance, for me this is an all-year-round scent. This is a crazy long-lasting fragrance with 8+ hours of longevity and good sillage and projection.
The bottle design is classic-looking with its metallic silver bottle and clean/crisp lines. Certainly would not give the wearer any visual indication of the lavender explosion lurking inside.
If you simply adore a lavender-centric fragrance, then look no further than Lavender Extrême, it’s beautiful. Lavender is one of my favourite floral scents that transports me back to childhood. My disclaimer here is if you do not LOVE lavender then avoid, avoid, avoid.

12. Noir Pour Femme Eau de Parfum
Review
Noir Pour Femme Eau de Parfum captures a fascinating paradox of the Tom Ford woman in a daring floral oriental fragrance that is sensual and extravagant.
The opening of zesty bergamot, mandarin and bitter orange are spiced with ginger. A floral heart of rose, jasmine, orange flower are sweetened with kulfi to create a spicy yet sweet oriental-floral vibe. Perhaps a little too focused on the rose, but that’s not a bad thing! The base notes of vanilla, amber and sandalwood are ever-present.
For me, the kulfi, vanilla, amber fused with citrus and florals gave this fragrance more of a seductive autumn/winter twang that’s best suited for the evening.
Noir Pour Femme is a long-lasting fragrance of 4-5 hours. I could still detect the vanilla & amber long after; however, the other notes had faded, so it was time for a top-up. Sillage and projection were both pretty good.
As for presentation, the ultra-modern yet retro bottle with its metallic gold cap and matt black base are eye-catching and futuristic.
Overall, Noir Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is a sensual and dark oriental fragrance that oozes sophistication. It’s so many things at once… citrus, floral, sweet, and spicy.

Are Tom Ford Perfumes Worth It?
Tom Ford perfumes are worth it as the quality and performance of each fragrance are incredible. The prestige linked to the Tom Ford brand, combined with their eye-catching bottles, further boosts desirability.
Then there is the ‘elephant in the room’. Deep down, many of us crave the feeling of exclusivity from our fragrance. Branding plays a HUGE part in generating these feelings, and luxury perfume houses understand this perfectly.
If Tom Ford slashed perfume prices, packaged the in cheap bottles and made them available at every discount outlet in the bargain-bin, would they be so desirable?
Are Tom Ford Perfumes Unisex?
The majority of Tom Ford perfumes are actually unisex. Of the 100 or so Tom Ford fragrances to date, 70 are listed as unisex, 22 are female, and 10 are male.
More and more perfume houses are moving towards a unisex fragrance model. In this modern age, the invisible line of fragrance drawn between men and women is becoming incredibly blurred.
Conclusion
If you have the budget, adding one of these fantastic Tom Ford perfumes to your fragrance collection is highly recommended. It took me ages to invest in my first Tom Ford fragrance as the cost is twice what I would normally consider paying. I now have 5 Tom Ford fragrances in my collection.
