This fragrance has a nutty opening as you get wafts of candied chestnuts and orange that latches onto orange blossom and coffee in the heart.
The gourmand turns rich and caramel-like with maple syrup and more decadent coffee notes that soothe and delight. Eventually evolves into a spicy woody and warm scent at the finishing line with soothing sweet vanilla.

Ever since its launch in 1999, L’Artisan Parfumeur Passage d’Enfer Eau de Toilette has been considered a must-have incense fragrance. It provides an unusual mix of warmth and coolness that wraps you in its charming embrace.
Right from the opening, you’ll find yourself peacefully meditating in a church where carefully placed lilies add some floral freshness. Soon, the fragrance develops into a clean and pleasant musk in the middle with incense still lingering.
The dry-down reveals lush cedar that complements the incense with its warm, woody, powdery profile, leaving you yearning for more of the coolness from the lilies.
Seasons & Performance
This is a cold-weather scent, especially good on wet days or colder evenings. It’s quite a cold feeling fragrance, perhaps more suited to times when you want to be lost in your own thoughts to reflect.

For me, the best smelling L’Artisan Parfumeur fragrance for women is Passage d’Enfer Extrême. The opening is a mix of red lily and sweet jasmine covered in a cloud of smokey incense. Sensual vanilla and luxurious sandalwood provide a stunning finish.
Conclusion
For over 40 years, L’Artisan Parfumeur has created niche fragrances that dazzle and delight by blending the old with the new and the mainstream with the unusual.
The scents from this artisan perfumer may lack mass appeal, but that’s the whole point. Give them time to grow on you with every spray, every passing day.
