The Gucci Guilty collection of perfumes is more than just a fragrance. They declare a deliberate lifestyle choice for the modern age. The best Gucci Guilty perfumes all share the same pink pepper, patchouli and amber as the original, yet introduce their own unique twist.

The first fragrance in the collection, Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette, was released back in 2010. This is a dark and rather daring oriental floral feminine fragrance blended with seductive powdery floral notes, spice and fruits.

Several glamorous additions have expanded the collection, including the 2021 launch of Gucci Guilty Love Edition MMXXI Pour Femme. Each Guilty fragrance will awaken the nonconformist lurking inside you, as some rules are meant to be broken.

7 Best Gucci Guilty Perfumes Reviewed

With exotic fruits and florals combined with attention-grabbing spice, the best Gucci Guilty perfumes are dark, captivating and sexy. We review 7 that deserve your attention, including the new 2021 limited edition release.

1. Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette

Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette

Review

Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette was the first Guilty scent to be released in 2010. Aurelien Guichard is the nose behind this oriental floral fragrance, a glamorous mix of fruity, floral and spicy notes.

The bright and spicy opening of fresh orange and pink pepper is genuinely stunning and leaves you wanting more. Soon, an exotic floral heart of powdery lilac and woody geranium emerge, softened by juicy peach. Sweet jasmine also makes a cameo appearance.

Upon full dry-down, a sensually charged base of intoxicatingly earthy patchouli and warming amber cast their magic. At the same time, a hint of musk and vanilla adds a touch of class to this overall sexy feminine fragrance.

As for when to wear, although Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette leans more towards autumn/winter, I feel the the peach and powdery lilac injects an early spring feel.

Longevity is not incredible, only 3+ hours on the skin with soft projection and sillage. You can extend this by applying body lotion to your skin first, and also spray on clothing (just watch out for staining)

Presented in a stunning gold-coloured bottle with the reversed Gucci G’ logo creating a glass window that displays the fragrance itself. Effortlessly classy and almost art-deco. Would make a fantastic gift just for the bottle.

Overall, Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette is a classy, sexy feminine fragrance that is not too overpowering. Would make an alluring signature fragrance.

Top Notes:

Mandarin Orange, Pink Pepper, Bergamot

Mid Notes:

Geranium, Peach, Lilac, Black Currant, Jasmine

Base Notes:

Patchouli, Amber, Vanilla, White Musk

2. Gucci Guilty Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

Gucci Guilty Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

Review

Gucci Guilty Pour Femme Eau de Parfum shares much of the same DNA as the original Eau de Toilette and was released in 2019. More powdery floral than spicy, this EDP version is both sexy and sophisticated with a vintage feel.

The opening is a more sedate version of the EDT yet still bright, with orange and pink pepper in equal measure. A beautiful floral heart of sweet lilac, powdery violet and woody geranium bloom to great effect. A rather glamorous base of vibrant patchouli and warm amber adds a touch of decadence.

As for when to wear, Gucci Guilty Eau de Parfum, in my opinion, is an any-season fragrance. The trio of floral notes work amazingly in the spring/summer, and the patchouli/amber base adds depth for the winter.

Longevity is far better than the original EDT, so you can expect to get 5+ hours of performance from the EDP version. Sillage and projection are also good, certainly not a skin scent, but not a room clearer.

Presented in a stylish gold-coloured bottle with a golden cap that oozes class. The reversed double G logo is the icing on the cake.

Overall, Gucci Guilty Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is an elegant, feminine fragrance with a powdery floral twist that gives a real vintage vibe. Effortlessly classy and I dare say a future classic.

Top Notes:

Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange

Mid Notes:

Lilac, Geranium, Rose, Violet

Base Notes:

Patchouli, Amber

3. Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum

Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum

Review

Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum is a seductive oriental floral fragrance incorporating lilac and pink pepper to magnetising effect. Launched in 2011, the perfumer behind this fragrance is Aurelien Guichard, the original Guilty fragrance’s creator.

An opening of fresh mandarin top notes and spicy pink pepper demand attention; one of my favourite openings. A powdery floral heart of lilac and heliotrope are both girly and utterly romantic.

Soon, a sensual base of amber takes over with its flamboyant warmth and richness. Earthy patchouli is also present but does not overpower.

As for when to wear, this is an incredibly sexy and daring feminine fragrance that is perfect for evening wear, especially autumn/winter. Deserves to be worn when you are all dressed up and ready to impress. Think fancy evening meal or a romantic trip to the theatre.

The performance of Guilty Intense is excellent. You can expect 6+ hours of longevity with good sillage and projection.

Comes in a slightly darker version of the EDT golden bottle. Looks very fancy although a tad easy to get confused in-store so take care.

Overall, Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum is an addictive and intoxicating feminine fragrance that is sexy and edgy. Well worth the investment, I love it.

4. Gucci Guilty Love Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

Gucci Guilty Love Pour FemmeEau de Parfum

Review

Gucci Guilty Love Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is a bright and breezy chypre floral fragrance. It blends raspberry and violet notes with musk and other florals for a luxurious feminine experience. The nose behind this fragrance is French master perfumer Alberto Morillas who has worked with Acqua di Parma and Kilian.

The opening is airy with fresh floral notes of narcissus combined with light zesty fruits. A romantic heart of soapy violet and sweet jasmine soon emerge, and the initial raspberry becomes more prominent. Upon dry-down, a musky base with earthy patchouli and a hint of warm amber add a feeling of elegance and style.

As for when to wear, Gucci Guilty Love is an extremely versatile fragrance that is perfect for spring/summer and even the less chillier months during autumn. More of a daytime scent, so think shopping trips, romantic lunches, a trip to the museum, and even an office scent.

I found that that longevity is a more than reasonable 5+ hours with good sillage and projection, so an excellent all-round performing fragrance.

Presenting in a pastel pink bottle. The fragrance is not as soft as the bottle’s colour suggests, which is a good thing!

Overall, Gucci Guilty Love is an elegant soapy floral fragrance with a touch of flirtiness thrown in for good measure.

5. Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

Review

Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is an aromatic combination of fruits and woods with a floral hint. Released in 2018, the perfume nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas.

The opening is both spicy and fruity with juicy notes of blackberry, crisp bergamot and pink pepper. A well-balanced heart of delicate rose entwined with a forest smell of green cypress and woody notes.

Upon dry-down, the intoxicating sweet yet musky scent of patchouli and warm amber add depth and a sense of romance.

As for when to wear, more spring/summer/autumn and not so much a full-on winter scent, in my opinion. A very versatile fragrance that works well for daywear or nightwear indoors or the great outdoors. A great choice of perfume for summer parties and romantic nights out.

Performance of Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme is 4+ hours with good projection and sillage, so nothing to complain about here.

Presented in an eye-catching deep purple coloured bottle with black cap and gold lettering that exudes an undercurrent of complexity and darkness.

Overall, Guilty Absolute Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is an elegant feminine chypre floral fragrance with a sultry edge. Its combination of fruity/woody notes, in particular, give it an almost niche feel. Dark, sexy, and intoxicating

6. Gucci Guilty Black Eau de Toilette

Gucci Guilty Black Eau de Toilette

Review

Gucci Guilty Black Eau de Toilette is a fragrance for the night-owl lurking inside of you. Launched in 2013, nose Aurelien Guichard incorporates pink pepper coated berries to significant effect for a wickedly rich and sensual experience.

A sweet opening of red berries is offset by a generous sprinkling of pink pepper. A heart of raspberry dominated the mid, with a hint of powdery violet and sweet lilac providing just a hint of floral.

Although this fragrance starts life reasonably sweet, a base of deeply intoxicating patchouli and warming spices amber emerge upon dry-down to completely pivot the initial girly/sweet opening. Once fully settled, Guilty Black becomes darker, deeper, and downright sexy as the hours go by.

Gucci Guilty Black Pour Femme is more of an evening fragrance for the chilly days during of autumn/winter. Well worth getting dressed up for as makes you feel sexy and powerful. Best worn for dates, parties and any other fancy occasion.

You can expect 4+ hours of performance with discreet but noticeable sillage and projection. This fragrance got lots of compliments when I wore it.

Gucci Guilty Black Eau de Toilette is an incredibly dark and sexy fragrance, more like Guilty’s naughtier sister.

Pink Pepper, Red Berries

New for 2021 is Guilty Love Edition MMXXI Pour Femme Eau de Parfum. This is a bright combination of citrus and flowery notes that settles into a sensual warming base. The nose behind this fragrance is French perfumer Alberto Morillas.

A bright opening of zesty mandora orange and bergamot are dusted with pink pepper to add a little bite. A heart of lilac and violet bloom to add a delightfully powdery feminine floral feel.

Upon dry-down, geranium oil slowly reveals its green/floral aroma, plus warming amber and earthy patchouli cast their Guilty magic.
