You have likely had a jasmine perfume before, though you might not know it, as jasmine is one of the world’s most popular floral perfume notes.

This small, star-shaped flower comes in over 200 varieties, with jasmine sambac and jasmine grandiflorum being the most commonly used in perfumery.

Jasmine sambac has a sweet, musky, and sensual scent. In contrast, jasmine grandiflorum is lighter, fresher, and has a green edge to its aroma.

No matter the jasmine, the best perfumes with jasmine are romantic, elegantly feminine, and will get you noticed for all the right reasons!

Dior is a byword for luxury and opulence, and the original J’Adore is a classic feminine scent for a reason. This new addition to the line offers the same elegant, opulent vibe with a modern twist.

Fresh neroli fades gently to let the sweet, floral muskiness of jasmine sambac bloom gracefully from the heart of this scent.

The Flora collection is one of Gucci’s most enduringly popular lines, with Flora Gorgeous Jasmine being one of my all-time faves.

Cirtusy, floral, and warm, it’s truly lovely. A zesty blend of bergamot, mandarin, and black pepper creates a moreish start that melts into a floral bouquet at its heart.

Jasmine, magnolia, and rose perfectly complement each other, as do the sandalwood and patchouli in the base. Heavenly!

Gardenia and exotic ylang-ylang create a sweet and fresh, yet sadly fleeting, opening that quickly melts into a blooming heart of jasmine and tuberose.

There are thousands of options out there for those who want a little more jasmine in their fragrance collection. Still, these eight jasmine perfumes I’ve chosen really sum up the essence of this flower, and they’re incredibly versatile, too.

Because of the versatility of jasmine, you may find more than one variety of jasmine in many classic feminine fragrances. Of course, classic scents aren’t for everyone; many women prefer more modern perfumes (I’m one of them).
